TASK AUTOMATION

IT auto-remediation services

Set up approved actions for repeat technical problems. Useful when the same alert needs the same fix each time.

Automate agreed fixes, with clear limits

Some technical issues have a familiar recovery procedure. An automated workflow can collect the relevant information and run an agreed action when its conditions are met.

Not every alert should trigger a change. We define the environments involved, the permissions needed, and when an engineer must approve the action. The record of what ran helps the team investigate later.

What the work can include

  • Watch for agreed warning signs
  • Ask for approval where a fix needs review
  • Keep a record of what happened and what changed

Define the conditions for a recovery action

Auto-remediation means using an agreed procedure to respond to a technical issue. A useful candidate is a repeat problem with a known diagnosis and a bounded recovery step. An unfamiliar alert usually needs investigation first.

The rule should consider whether a similar action is already running and how often it is allowed to run. Without those limits, repeated alerts can cause repeated changes without resolving the underlying problem.

Keep a person in charge of exceptions

We agree on which actions may run automatically and which require approval. If the action does not restore the expected state, the workflow should stop at its defined limit and give an engineer the context needed to investigate.

Logs can include the triggering alert, the checks performed, the approved action, and the observed result. This record can be attached to the relevant support request.

Questions about this service

Does every infrastructure alert get an automatic fix?

No. Only the agreed conditions should trigger a recovery workflow. Unknown conditions or failed checks are routed to an engineer.

Can we require approval for production changes?

Yes. We can plan an approval gate and define who may approve, how the decision is recorded, and what happens if no approval arrives.

How is this different from monitoring?

Monitoring reports that a condition has occurred. A remediation workflow uses that signal to perform an agreed sequence of checks and actions, then records the result.
